Terms of Service
Effective October 14, 2026
These terms are an agreement between Blue Coast Water, LLC (“we”, “us”), which operates QRedential, and the organization that uses it (the “customer”). By creating an account or using QRedential on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you are allowed to accept these terms for it. If you do not agree, do not use the service. Where a signed agreement or order between us and the customer says something different, the signed agreement wins.
The service
QRedential lets a building and the companies in it invite visitors, issue them time-limited QR passes, check those passes at door readers, and keep a record of who came in. Accounts are created by invitation. We may improve or change features over time, and will give customers reasonable notice before removing something they rely on. The service includes operational emails (invitations, passes, notices and reports) that are part of how it works.
Accounts
- Each person uses their own account. Do not share sign-ins.
- Keep your password and any API keys secret. The customer is responsible for what happens under its accounts and keys, and should tell us promptly at the address below if it suspects misuse.
- Keep account details accurate, and remove access for people who no longer need it.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use QRedential to give anyone access to a place they are not entitled to enter, or to track people beyond what the service is for.
- Enter information about a person that you have no right to collect, or use visitor information for anything other than managing their visit.
- Try to reach another company’s records, get around roles, permissions or rate limits, or probe the service for weaknesses without our written permission.
- Overload, disrupt or reverse engineer the service, upload malicious code, or use it to send unsolicited messages.
We may suspend access that breaks these rules or puts the service or a building at risk, and will tell the customer why.
Customer data
The information a customer and its users put into QRedential, including visitor details and scan records, belongs to the customer. We use it only to provide and secure the service, as described in our Privacy Policy. The customer is responsible for having the right to collect it and for telling the people it invites how their information is used.
Doors and hardware
QRedential decides whether a pass is valid and asks the building’s door access system to open the door. The readers, locks, network and door access platform belong to the building or its vendors, and we are not responsible for their failure. A building should keep another way to let people in if the network, a reader or the service is unavailable.
Fees
Fees, if any, are set out in the customer’s order or agreement with us.
Our software
We own QRedential and grant the customer a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use it during its subscription for its own buildings. Feedback you send us may be used to improve the service.
Ending the agreement
The customer may stop using QRedential at any time. Either side may end this agreement as set out in the customer’s order or agreement. When it ends, access stops, and on request we return or delete the customer’s data.
Disclaimer
We work to keep QRedential available and accurate, but except as a signed agreement says otherwise, the service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows.
Limits on liability
To the extent the law allows, neither side is liable to the other for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or lost profits or data, and our total liability under these terms is limited to the fees the customer paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply in full.
Indemnity
The customer will defend us against third-party claims arising from information it entered without the right to do so or from use of the service that breaks these terms, and cover the resulting costs.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of laws rules.
Changes
We may update these terms. We will post the new version here with a new effective date and tell customers by email before a material change takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means accepting the new terms.
